Inspection Results: Children's Development Center's Production Activities Suspended
The inspection conducted by the Regional Center of the RA Food Safety Inspection Body in Aragatsotn province revealed significant violations regarding food hygiene standards at a children's development center owned by individual entrepreneur Narine Kirakosyan. Specifically, it was found that:
- The design, construction, and layout of the food facilities did not prevent the cross-contamination of food raw materials and products, as well as the intersection of contaminated and clean items.
- The food facilities were not equipped with a sufficient amount of natural or artificial ventilation, and the restroom and kitchen were located in the same area. Additionally, children's night pots were found in the kitchen.
- The walls lacked a smooth surface, were not in a state of renovation, and were made of materials that were not waterproof, non-absorbent, or washable.
- The working surfaces in areas containing food, including those of equipment, especially those in direct contact with food, were not maintained in a state of repair, were not easily cleaned and disinfected, and were made of materials that were not flat, washable, or resistant to corrosion.
- No pest control or rodent extermination measures were implemented by the producer during the food production process.
As a result of these findings, the head of the inspection body has decided to suspend the production activities of the children's development center, with a deadline set for eliminating the identified violations.
