Julya
NATO does not consider China an adversary, but the alliance believes that Beijing poses a challenge to its values and interests. This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who is departing from his position, in an interview with the Yomiuri newspaper.
“NATO does not see China as an adversary, but it poses a challenge to our values, interests, and security,” he said.
Stoltenberg also asserted that the People's Republic of China threatens Taiwan and its neighboring countries. The NATO Secretary General further accused China of providing military support to the Russian Federation, declaring that Beijing is “igniting the largest war in Europe since World War II.”
