Ankara Refuses Meeting Between Turkey and Armenia Representatives Scheduled for July 2
Ankara has reconsidered and canceled the planned meeting between representatives of Turkey and Armenia scheduled for July 2. This information was provided to NEWS.am by a diplomatic source familiar with the matter.
"At the last moment, the Turkish side refused the meeting. The official reasons for the decision are not disclosed," said the source. It is currently unclear whether the meeting has been canceled entirely or just postponed.
Earlier, it was reported that a meeting between representatives of the two countries was planned at the Armenian-Turkish border on July 2. It should be reminded that the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ani Badalyan, had stated that the public would be duly informed about the timing of the meeting of special representatives on the normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey after an agreement was reached.
