France to Transfer CAESAR Spare Parts and 155mm Ammunition to Armenia
Armenia has become the tenth buyer of CAESAR artillery systems. The announcement was made by Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan during his visit to the Eurosatory defense exhibition.
Armenia will acquire 36 self-propelled artillery systems, sufficient to equip two artillery battalions. In addition, the KNDS company has signed an agreement on military-technical cooperation with the Armenian Defense Ministry.
According to Forces Operations Blog, the contract includes a supply batch of 155mm ammunition in addition to spare parts. Last November, taking into account the effectiveness of this equipment and Nexter’s new production capabilities in 2024, several senators recommended that the supply of CAESAR artillery systems be considered as soon as possible.
