In Baku, James O'Brien, the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia, discussed the 'peace' process between Armenia and Azerbaijan with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. The Azerbaijani foreign minister also spoke with the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State about the Armenian constitution, specifically insisting that the Republic of Armenia's constitution 'needs' to be changed.
'The importance of making changes in the Armenian Constitution and legislative acts was emphasized, as well as the need to abandon the 'ongoing demands' regarding Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty,' stated a press release from the Azerbaijani side.
