Video: Citizens Block Aparan-Yerevan Highway, What's the Reason?

Citizens have blocked the Aparan-Yerevan highway. According to Hetq.am, property owners are staging a protest due to the process of recognizing 110 hectares of land in the village of Vardenut as a public priority. The residents are protesting against the low price offered for their agricultural land, which is only 300 drams per square meter.

Residents of Vardenut have stated that they sent a letter to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy but have not received a response. According to locals, the company intends to build a cable car, a ski resort, an eco-village, and a reservoir in the area.
