Henrikh Mkhitaryan: "The National Team Door is Closed for Me"
Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the former captain of the Armenian national team, was hosted by Artak Aleksanyan as part of Newmag / summerfest-2024 and discussed various topics, as reported by armsport.am.
Addressing his chances of returning to the national team, Mkhitaryan stated, "Everything that has a beginning also has an end. It is better to finish one step earlier than two steps too late. It is better to make that decision yourself than to have others make it for you. I can say that for all the decisions I have made, both during my football career and outside of it, I have no regrets. I am satisfied with the decisions I have made and with the journey I have taken. Some people may say that I could have had a better or worse career, but I believe that none of us can escape our fate. We must come to terms with what we have and be grateful to God for everything He has given us. Unfortunately, I will say that the door to the national team is closed for me," Mkhitaryan said.
After the interview, Mkhitaryan distributed autographs to his fans and took photos with them.
