Lukashenko Calls Presidency Absurd Compared to Milking Cows
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has referred to his presidential work as an absurdity, expressing dreams of returning to agricultural work. A video of his visit to the dairy production complex was published by the Telegram channel 'Pul Arajin'.
"There is no better job than agriculture. I have gone through it all. Now I dream of the people I worked with at night. The cows come to me in my dreams, and I milk them at night," he stated.
According to the president, the presidency is an "absurdity," while working in agriculture is the "most interesting" endeavor. Lukashenko often shares memories of his past. In April, he recounted how he worked in the fields with his brother during his childhood. "You go after that plow, barely your nose shows from behind the plow, you cultivate it," the president said. He also noted that he spent all his earnings on buying clothes for his school.
Just a month later, he shared that during his teenage years, he wrote poetry and transported it to a newspaper office 15 kilometers away in hopes of getting published. Lukashenko added that he no longer writes poetry as his "head is filled with other issues." He pointed out that he could have become a journalist and write about the shortcomings of rural life.
