Condition of Border Guard Injured in Mine Explosion in Voskepar
The health condition of the serviceman Narek Gareginyan, who was injured in a landmine explosion near the Holy Mother of God Church in the village of Voskepar, Tavush province, is satisfactory. This was reported by the press service of the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia in response to a written inquiry by Sputnik Armenia.
“The serviceman's condition is assessed as satisfactory, and treatment is ongoing,” the NSS stated.
It is worth noting that earlier, journalist Voskanyan Sargsyan from Tavush had reported that a border guard was injured in an explosion of an anti-personnel mine in the area near the church, resulting in the amputation of his foot.
The NSS officially confirmed the news on June 6, stating that the injured individual was Sergeant Narek Gareginyan, a contracted serviceman of the NSS border troops.
