Implementation of Unified Ticket System in Yerevan Delayed Again
The deadline for the implementation of a unified ticket system in Yerevan has been postponed once again. The information was provided to Sputnik Armenia by the press secretary of the Yerevan mayor, Hayk Kostanyan.
It should be noted that the project was initially set to come into effect in September 2024. However, during a procedural meeting of the Yerevan City Council on June 17, it was announced that the implementation would be delayed by one or two months. The launch of the unified ticket system was planned to be moved from September 1 to November 1.
“The implementation of the unified ticket system is now postponed to January 2025,” Kostanyan stated. He added that the project will be included in the agenda of the upcoming Yerevan City Council session. Previously, Kostanyan assured Sputnik Armenia that there would also be no change in public transport fares starting from September 1.
