Disaster Zone Prevents Potential Epidemics Outbreaks: Sanosyan
In the Lori and Tavush regions, the potential outbreaks of epidemics have been successfully prevented. This was announced during a meeting of the operational headquarters established for managing the emergency situation caused by the severe rainfalls and subsequent flooding, held at the Alaverdi community hall.
The meeting was attended by Vahe Galumyan, the Chairman of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture, and Environment Protection, Lori Governor Aram Ghazaryan, and Alaverdi Mayor David Ghumashyan.
Gnel Sanosyan, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, informed through a post on his Facebook page that reports were given on the work conducted during these days, including the restoration of bridges, damage assessment, and the process of providing food supply to residents of flooded areas. “It was also reported on the epidemiological situation in the disaster zone, indicating that potential outbreaks of epidemics have been prevented. There is currently no danger. I have issued several new instructions,” the publication states.
