A Strong Solar Eruption Recorded

On the night of June 21, a powerful M-class solar flare was recorded. This was reported to TASS by the Institute of Applied Geophysics (FSBI IPG):

“On June 21, at 02:16 Moscow time, an M5.8 flare lasting 20 minutes was recorded in the X-ray range,” the IPG said.

M-class solar flares can cause low to moderate levels of radio disruptions. There are a total of five levels of flash intensity, with only the X category above M class.

On June 11, the Sun emitted its largest radiation burst toward Earth since 2017. Previously, scientists had stated that the Sun is on the verge of changing its magnetic poles, after which the star's activity would begin to decline. These changes are part of the Sun's normal 11-year cycle.
