Tragic Car Accident in Yerevan: 1 Person Dead, 3 Injured Including Children
In the early hours of the morning, a car collision occurred in Yerevan, resulting in the death of one individual and injuries to four others, as reported by shamshyan.com.
Around 1:30 AM, at the intersection of Bagratuni Street and Yeghishe Tadevosyan Street, a "VAZ 2121" vehicle driven by 55-year-old Seryozha Hovakimyan collided with a "Ford" driven by 43-year-old Vigen Hovsepyan. Both drivers were transported to the "Erebuni" Medical Center, while the passengers of the "Niva," including 12-year-old Arthur H., 8-year-old Karen H., and 15-year-old Areg H., were taken to the "Holy Mother of God" Medical Center with varying degrees of bodily injuries.
At approximately 8:30 AM, the hospital reported that Seryozha Hovakimyan had passed away without regaining consciousness.
According to the investigator's directive, the vehicles were moved to a secure area under the supervision of the police in Yerevan. Reports indicate that the driver of the "VAZ 2121" did not have a valid driver's license and was listed in the psychiatric and narcological registers. Preliminary information suggests that he was the cause of the accident.
