PHOTOS: Major Fire in Yerevan; Fire Extinguished in One Hour

Today, June 18, a major fire occurred in Yerevan. At around 11:10 AM, the 911 crisis management national center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received a call reporting a fire that had broken out on the balcony of a building located behind the MG supermarket in the Davtashen 3rd district, as reported by shamshyan.com.

Upon arrival at the scene, the police cordoned off the area, and the firefighters first prevented the spread of the flames and then extinguished the fire. As a result of the fire, wood piled up on the balcony of the apartment burned, the ceiling of the elevator was overheated, and plastic items in the 80 square meter area of the apartment were damaged.
