All Radioactive Water Released from Japan's Fukushima Nuclear Plant, Grossi Says

All six batches of radioactive water have been released from Japan's Fukushima nuclear plant. The procedure was carried out under the supervision of the IAEA, with the preliminary technical assessment conducted with the support of Russian experts. This was stated by Rafael Grossi, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), to 'Izvestia.'

He noted that the preliminary work took two years. 'As a result, we concluded that everything will be within the framework of international safety standards. There are still no environmental issues, and the level of tritium—the only radionuclide that the system cannot remove from the water—remains extremely low,' Grossi said.
