Landslide on the Getap-Martuni Highway

On June 16, at 08:40, the crisis management center of the Vayots Dzor regional rescue service received information that a landslide had occurred near the intersection of the village of Salli on the Getap-Martuni highway, resulting in the closure of the road in both directions.

A rapid response team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations has arrived at the scene. It was determined that the landslide (approximately 20 cubic meters) occurred due to excessive irrigation of the land located on the upper section of the 15th km of the Getap-Martuni highway.

The rescuers and the patrol service employees cordoned off the area. With the assistance of special equipment, the highway has been cleared and is now open to traffic in both directions.
