Financial Issues Arise: 'Hraparak'
'Hraparak' newspaper reports: 'According to our sources, yesterday letters were sent from the Prime Minister's Office to a number of state agencies, informing them about the catastrophic state of the budget. The government has proposed cutting all non-priority expenses and postponing capital programs, as they are facing financial issues. Agencies have been suggested to discuss with the Ministry of Finance to understand which spending directions cannot be halted, aiming to continue only those, as there are problems funding many decisions made by the government.
Our government sources indicate that, for instance, the plans for the certification of Defense Ministry personnel and teachers are not aligned with the policies set forth in the 2024-2027 mid-term state program, preventing full implementation of these programs. Therefore, they have been informed that if other expenses are not cut, the government will face a problem even in paying those who have already been certified.'
