Criminal Authority ‘Faz’ Shot Dead Yesterday Was Released from Custody After Brawl with ‘Chagh Rustam’
The ‘Faz’, the criminal authority identified as Sergey Grigoryan, who was shot and killed yesterday in the Ajapnyak administrative district, had been released from custody around two years ago.
On the evening of June 11, gunfire reminiscent of a combat film rang out in Ajapnyak, resulting in the death of the criminal authority. The Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed to ‘Pastinfo’ that on June 11, at 23:17, police received a report of gunfire on Estonian Street. Later, at 23:53, the Armenia Medical Center reported that two men, born in 1988 and 1980, were admitted with gunshot wounds to the neck and various parts of the body, respectively.
The dispatched operational-investigative team determined that at 23:13, an unknown individual fired a weapon at the two men in front of Building 25 on Builders' Street, where Sergey Grigoryan was pronounced dead on arrival due to not regaining consciousness. The collected documents have been forwarded to the investigative department, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
No further details have been officially released by law enforcement agencies as of yet. The Investigative Committee stated that a statement would be issued shortly.
Moreover, as previously reported, Sergey Grigoryan had caught the attention of law enforcement around two years ago. Notably, on August 22, 2022, a brawl broke out in the courtyard of the Central Court of General Jurisdiction in Yerevan involving two criminal authorities - Rustam Stepanian, known by the nickname ‘Chagh Rustam’, and Sergey Grigoryan, known as ‘Faz’, along with their associates. Following the skirmish, Rustam Stepanian left the scene and was wanted for an extended period, while Sergey Grigoryan was arrested and later released on bail. This judicial ruling became a pivotal point in the subsequent criminal proceedings against Judge Arusyak Aleksanyan and Sergey Grigoryan’s lawyer, Erik Aleksanyan.
