White House Has Not Provided Strategy for Ending Ukraine Conflict
The White House has failed to timely present the U.S. Congress with a strategy for ending the conflict in Ukraine, reports the New York Post, citing Nikolai Mursku, a representative of the American Razom NGO.
U.S. President Joe Biden signed a law at the end of April to assist foreign allies, including Ukraine, which is receiving $61 billion to continue its confrontation with Russia. According to the publication, the law required the Pentagon Secretary and Secretary of State to submit a strategy for supporting Ukraine during the conflict with Russia to congressional committees within 45 days.
“We are disappointed that the Biden administration has missed the deadline of June 8 to develop a strategic plan to accelerate Ukraine's victory,” the publication quotes Mursku’s statement. A State Department representative, in turn, told the New York Post that the department is actively working on preparing the documents mandated by the law.
