Ararat Resident Khajak, Who Attempted Suicide Over 250 Times, Threatens to Jump from Bridge Again
Today, on June 11, another suicide attempt has occurred by Khajak Hayrapetyan, a resident of Ararat Province, in Yerevan. According to Shamshyan.com, at around 13:30, the National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a call reporting that a man had crossed the dangerous edge of the "Victory" Bridge and was threatening to jump.
Emergency services from the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrived at the scene, including a fire and rescue team from Yerevan's first firefighting unit, as well as a rescue psychologist and a team of emergency medical doctors.
Onsite, the Central Police Department’s patrol officers and the second battalion’s patrols of the Yerevan City Police also responded to the alarming call. According to available information, the individual attempting suicide has made more than 250 attempts in both Yerevan and Artashat.
