We want to gift a red beret to the Ombudsman on behalf of five human rights defenders, as he excellently defends the rights of the red beret soldiers. This was stated by lawyer Ruben Melikyan during a rally today.

“We openly say that we have political prisoners, individuals under house arrest, and those subjected to political persecution. Why are we so confident? Because the double standards are simply obvious and visible,” said lawyer Ruben Melikyan, noting that he considers all of this shameful.

He added that as long as the police have not been punished for their actions, any action against people, including arrests and detentions, is illegal.
