Specialists from Armenia, Russia and Georgia Work on Restoring Damaged Railway Infrastructure

In the aftermath of the floods in the Lori region, the South Caucasian Railway company is receiving active support from Russian and Georgian railways for the restoration of the damaged infrastructure. This information was reported by the South Caucasian Railway (HKE).

In the name of the management of Russian Railways, 35 specialists and managers of various profiles have been sent to support HKE, including track engineers, geodesists, and equipment operators. They are involved in the most problematic sections of the damaged infrastructure and are proactively leading the teams engaged in restoration work.

The Georgian railways have provided rolling stock and specialists for the restoration efforts. Specifically, this includes 30 pieces of rolling stock, of which 15 are hopper-dumpers, 15 are dump cars (various types of freight wagons), along with a thermal locomotive, and 10 mechanics to work with the restoration rolling stock.

Currently, in addition to around 300 employees of HKE, 35 specialists from various subdivisions and companies within the structure of Russian Railways and 10 employees from Georgian Railways are involved in the restoration work.
