Video: Two Trains Collide in the Czech Republic, 4 Dead and Injured

At least four people have been killed and dozens injured in a head-on collision between a passenger train and a freight train in the central Czech city of Pardubice. This was reported by the iDNES news portal, citing emergency services.

According to them, some of the injured are in critical condition. Search and rescue operations continue at the site, involving 36 fire crews and two helicopters.

The passenger train, owned by the RegioJet commercial company, was en route from Prague to the eastern Slovak city of Košice, carrying over 300 passengers. During the collision, which occurred at 22:53 local time (23:53 Moscow time), the first car of the train suffered the most damage, with about 20 passengers aboard.

Igor Paar, head of the Pardubice region's rescue service, confirmed that four people have died in the emergency, three are in serious condition, and about 20 have sustained minor injuries. The exact number of casualties, he noted, will be known after the search and rescue operations conclude.
