A Waste Recycling Complex Will Be Built in Russia for Nearly 5 Billion Rubles
A waste collection complex with a capacity of 250,000 tons per year will be constructed in the Tomsk region by KPO with an investment of 5 billion rubles.
By the end of this year, a waste collection complex capable of processing 250,000 tons annually will be built in the Tomsk region. The project, valued at 4.7 billion rubles, was discussed by the region's leader, Vladimir Mazur, with Denis Butsaev, the CEO of Russia's environmental operator, during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. They also signed a cooperation agreement concerning the development of infrastructure for TKO management.
The construction of the complex in the Tomsk region will allow for a reduction of landfill volumes by half and almost completely achieve 100% recycling for TKO.
It is also noteworthy that plans had previously been reported for the establishment of two waste collection complexes in the Yaroslavl region, each with a capacity of 100,000 tons. These projects, valued at 489 million rubles, will have 90% of the funding provided as preferential financing directed to Reo. Earlier, it was revealed that Reo plans to invest 2.6 billion rubles for the construction of a TKO facility in the Rostov region.
