Armenian National Team Lost to Slovenia in Friendly Match
The Armenian national team hosted Slovenia in a friendly match. The game ended with a 2-1 victory for the hosts.
Jan Mlakar opened the scoring in the 12th minute. Before the break, the Slovenians had one or two goal-scoring opportunities, but Armenia's goalkeeper, Ognjen Čančarević, performed well. Our team was not very active in the first half.
Right from the start of the second half, the team led by Aleksandr Petrakov put significant pressure on the opponent. After missing several good chances, our team earned a corner in the 56th minute. Following Eduard Spertsyan's assist, Armenia's captain, Varazdat Haroyan, equalized the score.
Seven minutes later, the hosts took the lead with Josip Iličić finding the net just four minutes after coming on as a substitute.
It should be noted that the next match for the Armenian national team will take place on June 7. They will host the Kazakhstan national team at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium.
