Israel Accepts Biden's Peace Plan

The Israeli authorities have accepted a plan to resolve the conflict in the Gaza Strip, proposed by US President Joe Biden just yesterday. This was stated by Ofir Falk, a foreign policy advisor to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in an interview with the Sunday Times, as reported by Nexta.

"The deal we have agreed upon is not particularly good, but we are very eager to have the hostages released. There are many details that need to be worked out, including that there will be no permanent ceasefire until all our objectives are achieved," Falk said.

According to him, Israel has accepted the agreement, but the conditions for a full ceasefire have not changed. They will include the complete release of all hostages and the destruction of Hamas.

It is noteworthy that Biden's plan consists of three phases; the first phase includes a ceasefire and the return of some of the hostages still held by militants. Subsequently, negotiations are expected between the warring parties regarding an indefinite cessation of hostilities and the release of all remaining prisoners.
