Vanadzor – Alaverdi – Ayroum - Bagratashen Road Remains Closed

The Rescue Service reports that there are closed motorways within the territory of Armenia. A partial collapse occurred at the pedestrian section of the bridge near the village of Getapnya in the Ararat region, leading to the suspension of traffic over the bridge.

According to the Road Department, the Vanadzor – Alaverdi – Ayroum - Bagratashen motorway is closed. Drivers are advised to bypass the M-6 route towards the border with Georgia via the M-3 Margara-Vanadzor-Tashir-Armenia border and M-1 Yerevan-Gyumri-Armenia border international motorways.

The M-4, Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan-Armenia border motorway section from Dilijan to Ijevan is passable. However, in certain areas, traffic is one-way. The bridge leading to the villages of Khashtarak and Lusahovit is closed in both directions.
