Former MP Required to Forfeit Nearly 20 Billion AMD in Immovable and Movable Properties

The Anti-Corruption Court has accepted for review on May 23, 2024, the latest claim from the Office of the Prosecutor General regarding the forfeiture of property of illicit origin. The Property Forfeiture Division of the Prosecutor General's Office has presented a request to the court to forfeit from the former Member of Parliament and former Minister of Environment Vardan Ayvazyan and related persons:
- 3 immovable properties;
- 2 vehicles;
- Participation shares in 8 legal entities;
- Monetary amounts equivalent to the average market value of 2 vehicles;
- 2 billion 632 million 342 thousand AMD, which is not supported by this individual's legal income and has illicit origins, has been transferred to a bona fide purchaser or cannot be identified and forfeited;
- 18 billion 593 million 643 thousand AMD as remaining income from the use of property of illicit origin;
- Right to claim repayment of loans amounting to approximately 101 million AMD.
