All Arrested in 1 Ton Cocaine Case Released: They Worked for Former MP's Company

The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that all employees of the company owned by former MP Mihran Poghosyan, who were arrested in the case of 1 ton of cocaine, have been released. Notably, there have been significant developments regarding the case of the 1 ton of cocaine that mysteriously appeared in Armenia.

According to "Zhoghovurd," the house arrest of those charged in the criminal case has expired, and all detainees in the scandalous case have been released. Furthermore, the one-year deadline for revealing facts has also passed, but the preliminary investigation continues.

It's worth noting that a year ago, the National Security Service (NSS) sent letters to several European countries regarding the investigation into the origin and circulation of cocaine, among other issues; however, no responses have been received, or the responses have not been favorable. Law enforcement still awaits concrete answers.

It should be noted that those arrested in this case were employees of the company owned by former MP Mihran Poghosyan, one of whom is a woman.

Recall that the NSS announced public criminal proceedings against Mihran Poghosyan, the actual owner of "Mrgeni" LLC, the company's director L.A., and storekeeper S.G. for illegally selling particularly large amounts of narcotics, specifically 1 ton of cocaine, and committing large-scale drug smuggling, under relevant articles of the RA Criminal Code. As a measure of restraint, custody was selected for them, and a search warrant was issued for the former MP.

Additionally, according to data from the state register of legal entities, "Mrgeni" LLC was established on July 27, 2018, following the "Velvet Revolution." The company's director is Levon Atajanyan, a citizen of Russia.
