Ukrainian Leadership Unhappy with NATO's Proposal, FT Reports

The Ukrainian leadership is dissatisfied with the prospect of transferring control of the military support contact group for Ukraine from the United States to NATO. This was reported by the Financial Times (FT), citing an anonymous diplomat from a NATO member country.

According to the information, the Ukrainian leadership has not been 'enthused' by this proposal. It is noted that member countries of the alliance are trying to convey to Ukraine that this would enhance the effectiveness of coordinating military aid supplies.

It is worth mentioning that on April 2, Bloomberg agency reported that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg would propose at the alliance summit in July in the USA to place the management of the military support contact group under NATO's control, which is currently managed by the United States.
