Response from the ruling party to the Archbishop's statement on the Lorek flood possibly being deliberate
The Vice President of the National Assembly, Ruben Rubinyan, made a post on his Facebook page, which we present below: "It is very realistic that this government is capable of any perversion, including appealing to Azerbaijan to attack, so that I can blame this movement." Mikhail Archbishop Ajapahyan, May 15, 2024.
“Apparently (in Lori and Tavush, during the disaster), they had the opportunity to prevent it... Maybe it was done on purpose (not to prevent the disaster) to stop our protest. I cannot take the blame for saying that’s exactly how it is, but it’s a hypothesis,” said Bagrat Archbishop Galstanyan, May 30, 2024, earlier today.
“I hope the Most Blessed Lord will forgive me if I humbly dare to express my opinion that the opposition movement he leads has started to negatively affect the emotional background of his subordinates. Maybe the esteemed archbishops’ hearts have filled with so much hatred, that it’s begun to cloud their reason. Again, I cannot take the blame for saying that’s exactly how it is, but it’s a hypothesis.”
Earlier, we reported that Bagrat Archbishop Galstanyan declared in the government yard: ‘Maybe they deliberately caused the flood in the Lorek region to receive money from somewhere.’”
