According to Arush Arushanyan, areas that have been lost should be reverted

On the night of March 12-13 this year, patrol officers stopped the vehicle of Goris mayor Arush Arushanyan, which was notably registered with "0" number plates (Mercedes G63), while he was behind the wheel. This was reported by MediaHub.

It should be noted that March 12 was Arushanyan's birthday, and he was returning from his birthday celebration around 1 AM when he encountered the patrol officers. The officers checked his sobriety and ascertained that Arushanyan was driving under the influence. Consequently, the vehicle was moved to a secure area, and Arush Arushanyan lost his driving privileges for one year. In the days following this incident, Arushanyan informed MediaHub that his lawyers were handling the issue and had appealed the officers' decision.

Yesterday, the media noticed Arush Arushanyan's vehicle in downtown Yerevan, with him at the wheel. Therefore, today they inquired whether he had regained his driving rights. Arushanyan initially stated that discussing his vehicle or driving rights was trivial in the current state of the country, then briefly notified that his driving privileges had been restored by a court decision. “My lawyers managed to prove that there was no issue, and my driving rights have been temporarily restored until the court proceedings conclude,” said Arushanyan, who was then asked by the media several questions regarding the country's situation.

- Mr. Arushanyan, you mentioned the country's condition; are you following the ongoing processes and developments in these days?

- I do not express my opinion.

- Why?

- Because I want to.

- What can you say about the border demarcation process? For example, the Deputy of the ruling party from Kapan, Davit Danielyan, mentioned in our conversation that they are eagerly waiting for the border demarcation process to reach Syunik as well. Is there such a sentiment among you?

- To me, the border of the Republic of Armenia is the map of Great Armenia, consisting of 15 provinces and covering 641,000 square kilometers.

- But Nikol Pashinyan says we should limit ourselves to 29.743 square kilometers.

- I say the map of the Republic of Armenia is 641,000 square kilometers. Tell them, let’s have many professors examine the numbers closely, so they can teach future generations correctly. If you want, I’ll give you the real map of Great Armenia so that many people can understand what the real map of the Republic of Armenia looks like.

- At school, we studied the provinces of Great Armenia, but I did not know that the territory was 641,000 square kilometers.

- No, well, at school, they taught you it was over 300,000 square kilometers, which is incorrect.

- Well, how would you react when the border demarcation process reaches the Syunik region, and do you believe we will lose more territory or expand the area of Syunik as a result?

- As far as I know, areas that have been lost should be reverted. But I can't say anything until I see it myself.

- How do residents of the villages adjacent to Goris feel about the border demarcation process; are they waiting for it to reach Syunik as well?

- Well, it has to come; we will see. What should I say now?
