US Opposes Strikes on Russian Territory
The United States does not encourage the Ukrainian military to strike Russian territory. This was stated by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken during a press conference in the capital of Moldova on Wednesday.
"We are not assisting and are not pushing Ukraine toward such strikes," Blinken said in Chișinău, reiterating that the Ukrainian command independently decides how to conduct military operations.
The Secretary of State noted that while continuing to support Kyiv, the US must also adapt to the changing realities of the conflict. Earlier, American media reported that within the US administration, Blinken has been one of the most active proponents of allowing Ukraine to strike Russian territory using American weapons.
