Russia Responds to Trump's Comments on Bombing Moscow and Beijing
The words of former U.S. President Donald Trump regarding bombing Moscow in the event of Russian troops entering Ukraine may be influenced by audience expectations, suggesting he is willing to use any rhetoric to regain the presidency. This was stated by State Duma Deputy Alexander Tolmachev to RIA Novosti.
“It is possible that the circumstances under which these audacious words were spoken are related to audience expectations. Donald Trump is known for his theatrics. With sharp statements, he has already reached the highest office in his country once. Today, the former president is involved in several criminal cases and, I do not rule out, is ready to resort to any promise or slogan just to return to the Oval Office,” said Tolmachev.
Earlier, it was reported that former U.S. President Donald Trump unexpectedly stated at an event with donors that he would have "bombed Moscow" if the conflict in Ukraine had started during his presidency. Additionally, he mentioned that he would bomb Beijing if China sent troops to Taiwan.
