Leo Nikolaian Sedated and Attempted to Be Transferred to France

Due to being banned from entering Armenia, Leo Nikolaian, a French-Armenian military and investigative journalist, has been on hunger strike at Zvartnots Airport for 38 days. His condition has drastically deteriorated, leading to an attempt to forcibly send him back to France. This was reported by the news outlet Iravunk.

"As you know, I was isolated at the airport, and I have deteriorated in that cage. Doctors came, and I don’t know what they injected me with; I haven’t felt anything, I’ve been like a sleeping person. They dressed me, collected my things, placed me in a wheelchair, and forcefully tried to put me on a plane against my will, which is a violation of Armenian legislation. But I was lucky; the aircraft commander said he does not transport sick people. Now they are trying to send me to some third country via transit so that I disappear into the void," Nikolaian conveyed in an interview with Iravunk.
