VIDEO: Special Forces and Fire Trucks Mobilized Near Georgian Parliament

Special forces and fire trucks have been mobilized in Freedom Square adjacent to the Georgian Parliament after the parliament overcame President Salome Zurabishvili's veto on the foreign agents law. A video from the gathering of security personnel has been published by Sputnik Georgia.

Lawmakers have already left the parliament building. Meanwhile, protesters on Rustaveli Avenue are listening to speeches from opposition representatives.

On May 28, the Georgian Parliament overcame the presidential veto placed by Salome Zurabishvili on the foreign agents law. Legislators voted in favor of the original version of the law. Previously, the country's leader referred to this document as a 'Russian law,' and authorities in the US and EU have warned Tbilisi about potential consequences of such a decision.
