Photo: Three Women Struck by Lightning in Gegharkunik, One Dies on Scene

A tragic incident occurred today, May 28, in the Gegharkunik region. Around 12:00 PM, operational information was received by the Gegharkunik regional department of the police and the Gavar police department that citizens had been struck by lightning in a field between the villages of Karmir and Sarukhany, several kilometers away from the road.

According to Shamshyan.com, it was determined that one person died on the spot, while two others were taken to the "Gavar" medical center. A criminal case has been initiated into the incident, and efforts are underway to establish the identities of the deceased and those hospitalized. According to sources, the deceased and the hospitalized individuals are women residing in the Gegharkunik region.
