VIDEO: Congestion at the 'Bagratashen' Border Checkpoint

Freight trucks traveling from Armenia to Georgia and then to Lars are currently backed up at the 'Bagratashen' state border checkpoint. The State Revenue Committee had previously urged freight transporters to use alternate crossing points.

This morning it was reported that the swelling waters of the Debed River have overflowed, causing landslides and closed roads. Preliminary reports indicate one fatality, and 232 citizens have been evacuated from dangerous areas.
