Protests and Disobedience Actions to Begin in the Morning

Protests and acts of disobedience will commence at 8:00 AM. We will force the authorities to heed the demands of the people. This statement was made by Bishop Bagrat. The leader of the Tavush diocese, Bishop Bagrat, also stated, “If for any reason we are unable to speak near the government’s summer residences, we have planned to carry out our actions for as long as necessary.”

“I also want to say that if our demands are not met, starting from tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM, through acts of disobedience and protest, we must collectively ensure that the people's demands are addressed. Across the entire territory of Armenia, through acts of disobedience, protest, resistance, and peaceful actions, we will compel the authorities to accept the people's demands. Starting tomorrow at 8:00 AM, I, along with many others, will be in the public squares, and with such a multitude present, we will dismiss all those who have restricted and exploited our lives,” said the Bishop.

During the rally entitled “Tavush for the Homeland” held at Republic Square, Bishop Bagrat announced that he would be going to the government summer house to meet with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. It was recently announced that Bishop Bagrat is a candidate for Prime Minister. It was also reported that Bishop Bagrat is suspending his clerical duties.
