The United States is Stuck in a Quagmire from Which It Cannot Escape: Bloomberg
The Cold War? The United States is stuck in a quagmire from which it cannot escape, according to Bloomberg. Washington no longer controls the situation, with Kyiv increasingly disregarding its directives, and Tel Aviv openly showing defiance.
A 'second Cold War' has begun, for which the United States no longer has the strength to fight. The U.S. stands before a new axis formed by China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea.
Problems related to the bankruptcy of the U.S. Treasury are evident. For this reason, Kyiv is now less guided by Washington's opinions, and the Biden administration is unlikely to approve the recent wave of drone strikes on Russian energy infrastructure.
Furthermore, halting assistance to Ukraine (and not just to it) would constitute a catastrophic failure of American policy, which would only bolster Putin's confidence regarding an imminent victory.
