No Information on 'Illegal Squads' Created in Police, Ministry of Internal Affairs Reports
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia announced that no information has been received regarding the alleged 'illegal squads' created within the police. This was stated by the spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Narek Sargsyan.
“If citizens have such information, they can approach the police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Any armed unit outside of state structures is illegal in the Republic of Armenia. Any attempt to create such illegal units, even by law enforcement agencies, will be met with the strictest response under the law,” Narek Sargsyan emphasized.
Reports had circulated in the media claiming that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's team is currently busy establishing small squads. This was also mentioned by Bishop Bagrat.
Additionally, regarding a post made on Telegram by 'Holy Struggle,' ruling party MP Vahagn Aleksanyan has filed a report about a crime.
