Martakert Mayor Arrested for Two Months
The Mayor of Martakert, Misha Gyurjyan, has been arrested for two months. This was reported by Gyurjyan's lawyer, Arsen Babayan.
Babayan stated that the court, presided over by Judge David Aghramanyan, imposed a two-month detention on the Mayor of Martakert.
Earlier, human rights defender Ruben Melikyan had reported that a political persecution is being carried out against the mayors of Artsakh, who participated in a meeting with Bishop Bagrat.
It is noteworthy that today the Mayor of Stepanakert was also arrested, while the Mayor of Askeran has been placed under house arrest.
