VIDEO: Stage Collapses During Election Event in Mexico, Resulting in Casualties and Injuries

A stage collapsed during an election event in the northern Mexican state of Nuevo León, resulting in five fatalities and approximately 50 injuries, according to Governor Samuel García.

Presidential candidate Jorge Álvarez Máynez was present at the event. He indicated that the incident occurred due to weather conditions and strong winds.

“About 50 people have been injured, with dozens receiving treatment at local clinics,” reported Reuters.

Footage of the collapse has circulated on social media, showing the stage crumbling during the politician's speech. Candidate Máynez of the centrist 'Citizen Movement' party was unharmed.
