The Civil Contract Party Will Not Move to Republic Avenue: Clarification from the State Property Management Committee
The Civil Contract Party will not be relocating to Republic Avenue. This announcement was made by the State Property Management Committee.
“Dear media outlets, the information that the property located at Republic Avenue, number 47, assigned to the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure's State Property Management Committee, has been leased to the ‘Civil Contract’ party for a period of 10 years is not true. We inform you that this property was leased to the ‘Civil Contract’ party by a government decision dated November 2, 2022, for a period of 10 years. However, at the party's initiative, the agreement was terminated on February 19, 2024. The property located at Republic Avenue, number 47, will be leased through a competitive process according to today’s government decision, starting at an initial value of 10 million 300 thousand,” the statement said.
Previously, the media reported that the ruling ‘Civil Contract’ party has a new office adjacent to the Government building. Renovation work has been underway for several months at the two-story building under state ownership at Republic Avenue, number 47, and is nearing completion. The party rented the 843 square meter building in 2022. It was assumed that the party intended to relocate its main office from Sayat Nova Street to Republic Avenue.
The office is located near the government building, adjacent to the central office of the Republican Party and the office of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation. Previously, this area housed the office of the ‘Prosperous Armenia’ party.
