Production Activities of Cheese Factory Suspended
The State Service for Food Safety of Armenia's Syunik Regional Center inspectors have carried out monitoring measures at a dairy processing (cheese) factory owned by individual entrepreneur Martin Shahnubaryan, located in the community of Khndzoresk in the Syunik region.
The food safety authority reports that during the inspection, it was revealed that sanitary and hygienic norms established by law had been violated at this factory. Specifically, the ceiling had not prevented the accumulation of dirt, the emergence of mold, and the possibility of particles falling from the ceiling. The floor in the milk intake area had not been made of waterproof, washable, and disinfectable materials. The packaging processes were not carried out under conditions that excluded the contamination of food products. The production building did not have a separate entrance to the sanitary facilities and lacked a sink for hand washing, as well as a changing room for staff.
In response to these violations, the Food Safety monitoring authority has suspended the production activities of the dairy processing (cheese) factory and has set a deadline for resolving the identified violations.
