Azerbaijani Border Guards Now 200-300 Meters Away from Kiran

Residents of Kiran village in Armenia's Tavush Province, whose properties and lands are set to be transferred to Azerbaijan due to border demarcation, are already evacuating their homes and gardens. This was stated by Karen Ghazaryan, a member of the Ajarkut community council, in an interview with Sputnik Armenia.

“At the moment, no residential houses have been demolished, but the residents are preparing to demolish their homes in the morning. They say they want to tear them down so that they do not remain in enemy hands, as they can no longer protect them. There has been an issue with machinery today,” said Ghazaryan.

Khanum Tamrazyan is one of the residents whose homes will be transferred to Azerbaijan due to the border demarcation. Karen Ghazaryan noted that Ms. Tamrazyan does not intend to demolish her house or leave it. Despite her determination, the police have stated that they will forcibly remove her from the house if necessary.

Ghazaryan also mentioned that for the third day now, a boundary that was established 30 years ago has been completely demolished by machinery. He said that he was not allowed to move forward, but has information that Azerbaijani border guards have advanced and are now located about 200-300 meters from the village.

Currently, police are not allowing residents of the village to approach the areas that will soon be transferred to the enemy.
