Farmers Losing Property Submit Applications at Kiran Village Administration
According to reports from "Azatutyun," farmers who have lost property are submitting applications at the Kiran village administration, which residents say essentially concern compensation and abandonment of property. The specifics of these applications and the legal grounds behind them are not yet known. There has been no official clarification regarding compensation.
Discussions about compensation in Kiran have intensified since yesterday. According to local residents, a total of 54 land plots are going beyond the border as a result of demarcation. These plots belong to more than 30 people. This means that over 30 residents are losing their property and possessions due to this situation.
So far, this has not been officially reported, and it is still unclear what amount of compensation will be provided to citizens and how. Residents state that first and foremost, the properties of those who are losing homes and buildings will be compensated, and there are 4 such buildings, as previously stated by the government. There are two tents, one of which the government is presenting as a shelter, along with two other structures.
When asked whether they are receiving legal assistance or have approached any lawyers, the residents of Kiran responded that such actions have not occurred, but they noted that such support would be very timely at the moment.
One farmer, who wished to remain anonymous, shared that they are cutting pipes from their land plot that is going beyond the border and bringing them to another plot that remains within Armenian territory. Just a while ago, tents were brought to Kiran, which are intended for Armenian border guards. However, their placement location has not yet been disclosed. The road leading to Kiran has been closed for the fourth day.
