VIDEO. "I urge Ukrainians to close their ears". Khodorkovsky states that only Lviv will remain from Ukraine

In one of his speeches in Germany, the former head of the Yukos oil company and one of the leaders of the Russian opposition, Mikhail Khodorkovsky, stated that Ukraine and the West have already essentially lost the war.
"I urge my Ukrainian friends to close their ears. Excuse me, but I will allow myself to say this. Gentlemen, you have practically already lost in the Ukrainian war," he said.

The politician also referenced the following figures: "Before the war, Ukraine's GDP was $160 billion. Russia: $2.2 trillion. Germany: $4.1 trillion. European Union: $17 trillion. Putin spends $120 billion a year on the war (while the most common artillery shell, the 152mm, costs about $500). This amounts to approximately 5.4% of GDP spent on the war."

“European aid provided to Ukraine during the two years of war has amounted to around $88 billion or about 0.25% of GDP. And this is based on the price of a 155mm shell, which ranges from $5,000 to $8,000. Which means (considering American supplies) that the actual ratio of war costs is, at best, 2.5 to 1 in favor of Putin. This year, without American supplies, it could be at best 4 to 1.”

“If at the beginning of the war the population ratio of Ukraine to Russia was 40 million to 142 million, or 3.5 to 1, now it is 7 to 1,” he noted.

Presenting such calculations, Khodorkovsky asked, "How are you commanding to fight?" "With the current situation of resources and forces, Ukraine will lose Kharkiv by the end of the year. By the middle of next year, it will lose Odesa. The ratio of forces will become 10-12 to 1 by the end of 2025. By the middle of 2026, Ukraine will continue only guerrilla warfare, and Lviv will remain if NATO forces enter, in the form of Poland," he predicted.

Khodorkovsky drew attention to the fact that he presented the best-case scenario, which implied the heroic continued resistance of the Ukrainian armed forces despite the hopeless situation. Otherwise, he believes, everything would be much quicker. At the same time, he stated that no one would storm major cities, as they pose no threat without support.
