Survey Work Underway in Kiran

Survey work is being conducted in Kiran since early this morning with locating equipment. Those working on site told "Azatutyun" that they are carrying out work related to the construction of a bypass road. In the section of the interstate road leading to Georgia, the bridge passes to the Azerbaijani side.

The government has announced that a new bypass road is to be constructed, with a timeframe of 2-3 months stated. The alternative road will pass through the nearby Achar Kut village, then turn towards Kiran and connect to the currently operational main road near the newly built school.

Yesterday, the head of the Prime Minister's office, Arayik Harutyunyan, reported that the reconstruction of the alternative road has begun and it will meet international standards. "The road will be widened, and it will be accessible to trucks as well," Harutyunyan wrote on Facebook, assuring that the road will be put into operation within two months.

On Saturday, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Gnel Sanosyan, also visited Kiran. He met with the villagers, listened to their concerns, and emphasized, "The road will be built, and it will also provide safety by itself." The minister also promised that all technical specifications would be maintained.

"We must adhere to all technical standards—saving the land and maintaining the norms of the road, such as the inclines and curves, so that trucks can come and go. We will leave spaces for agricultural machinery to allow for the cultivation of the land," Sanosyan stated.
