INSPECTORS SUSPEND OPERATIONS OF PUBLIC CATERING FACILITY

During an inspection of a public catering facility owned by "Vigma" LLC in the Aragatsotn region (village of Saghmosavan), inspectors from the RA Food Safety Inspection Body found that it was operating in violation of food hygiene requirements.

Specifically, the following issues were identified:

• The food establishment was not designed, constructed, or located in a way that allowed for disinfection, minimizing airborne contamination and contact with toxic substances.
• The walls and ceilings did not have smooth surfaces, were not in a state of repair, and were not made of waterproof, non-absorbent, or washable materials.
• The producer did not carry out pest control or rodent elimination processes during food production.
• Employees working in the food storage area did not wear appropriate clean clothing, and where necessary, protective clothing.

As a result, the operations of the public catering facility have been suspended, and a deadline has been set for addressing the identified violations.
